Established in 1995 by Maneck Davar, Spenta Multimedia began with a single magazine – JetWings, the in-flight
magazine of Jet Airways. Today, Spenta Multimedia has spread its wings and is India’s leading media house for
custom publishing in terms of number of magazines and revenue.
Rs.80 crore organisation, with a combined print production of over 1 million magazines a month, Spenta is one of the largest magazine publishing companies in India.
Beginning with an employee strength of five, today, Spenta has around 285 employees and offices in Mumbai,
New Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata, and representative offices in Gujarat, Kerala, the Middle East and
Keeping up with time and technology, Spenta has metamorphosed into a complete communication solutions company.
The company aims to attain a leadership position by deploying multiple media channels to deliver relevant, well-researched, engaging and aesthetically presented information on the print and online platforms that succeeds in building involved and loyal special interest communities. Spenta Multimedia was established in April 1995 with the vision of tapping a hitherto unfulfilled need of the Indian publishing industry, namely, custom publishing for specialised and corporate needs. It began with a single magazine—JetWings, Jet Airways’ in-flight magazine. Today, the company publishes 35 custom magazines across genres of travel, retail, lifestyle, beauty, finance and management.
Spenta Multimedia’s success is largely due to the company’s belief that the custom publishing business is essentially about relationships. Which is why, it prefers to use the phrase ‘Relationship Publishing’—building and strengthening relationships with readers and clients. Spenta Multimedia went on to expand into consumer publishing, book publishing, content generation and design, web design and web-based solutions, commercial printing, event management, and marketing.

He has over 30 years experience in print journalism and publishing, and has worked with major Indian newspapers and magazines, including The Times of India, Indian Express, Statesman, Mid-day and India Today.
Armed with a PG Diploma in Journalism from the London School of Journalism and a qualified Chartered Accountant, she has been with Spenta since 2006 and is the Managing Editor of all publications.
She has nearly two decades of experience in the media industry and plays a key role in the growth of Spenta’s publications.
He has over 15 years experience in the printing industry and is well-versed in end-to-end operations management. His expertise includes Commercial Printing, New Product Development, Vendor Management & Outsourcing Processes.
He has more than 16 years of experience in the information technology sphere and leads the digital team in its rapid expansion plan. He helps companies present themselves in a manner that builds brand image.
