He is ‘Vignavinashaya and Agra pujyate devta’. Intricately carved with an ‘ankusa,’ a demon head
signifying awakening and ‘pasa’ a cobra denoting control. His right hand is holding a broken tusk for
protection and his left hand a ‘modak’, a reward for devotion.
